If you are using pillow protectors for your pillows then wash your pillow protectors three times a year. You have to unzip the pillow protector and then use mild laundry detergent to wash and keep them clean. To reduce dust mites from pillow protectors it helps your pillow last longer, but they won't do anything for your allergies.
